Micah 5:4

Combining the third and fourth week's of Advent. The prophet, Micah, continues his declaration of the Messiah. The Messiah will come in Godly majesty who secures His people to the ends of the earth. In short, Jesus is coming as the great and powerful King. Amazingly, this He possesses at the time of His conception, seen in the flesh at His birth. As the world looks to the cute scenes of the season, the Scripture points people to their greatest need...to be delivered from the wrath of God. If it were not for the Son of God coming as a babe with the full power of God and the only One who could satisfy God's law, there is no saving from God's wrath due to every person breaking the Law of God. Yet, as small as the newborn King would be in the form of an infant, His power and His reach is limitless. As Christmas Day draws near, this text causes us to reflect upon the might and power of our precious Messiah!
