Christ-Centered Employment (pt.2)

The second part of Christ-Centered Employment fixes its attention upon masters (which can be applied today to employers). Paul encourages, generally, a mutual love for one another, which is a command of Christ Himself (Mark 12:31). Masters were to treat their slaves as they would want to be treated. The same applies today of employers and employees. And there is no doubt that this must be the case within the local church (Ephesians 5:21). Paul does not leave us with doctrine only, but he shows us how to live the doctrine out. Here, we are called to treat one another as we would want to be treated, do so with no threats, and without partiality. For God does not treat us in a threatening manner, nor with any partiality.
