Paul shifts his focus from inward to outward. How do we take all the doctrine learned and live it forward to the glory of Christ? That is the aim of verse 10. Understanding verse 10 correctly is critical for the proper understanding of the fitting of the armor of God. As we come to verse 10, it must be asked, "From where or whom do you find your strength?" If it is not in the Lord, don't put the armor on. Rather, if it is found in Christ alone, then the armor is most suitable. The best way we can be prepared to wear the armor is to die to self, live for Christ, and follow faithfully. Are you up for the challenge?
