Resist to the Very End

Paul goes beyond putting the armor of God and now moves to using the armor. Similarly, if you were to put hold a jacket in a rain storm, what good is it if it is not being put on? You will wind up drenched! Here, Paul commands and gives good reason as to why we must don the armor and use it. Christians should altogether have armor that looks used. If it is shiny, watch out! Resisting in the evil day will produce nicks and stains upon the Christian's armor. So, what does your armor look like? Is it spic and span? Or does it show a faithful daily walk with the Lord? We must examine our lives and our hearts. May it be said that it looks well used as we progress onward to glory!
