The Power of One pt.1

Paul comes back to doctrine in verses 4-6. This is not to say there is no application, but the doctrine is needed on unity before unity can be acted upon. In the same way instructions and directions are needed before building something. Paul stresses the word 'one' (used 7 times in verses 4-6). These 3 verses are Trinitarian (the Spirit v.4, the Son v.5, the Father v.6). The power of one in verse 4 is in body (the church), Spirit, and hope. These three set the premise for unity to follow.
